We’re off to a rainy start this morning across the Upper Cumberland as a cold front is bringing widespread showers and colder temperature to the area.

Temperatures are quickly falling off behind the front with upper 40s taking hold of the entire region by lunchtime. Rain will clear out by this afternoon, but temperatures will remain cool — remaining in the 40s in most places through sunset.

Skies will clear out this evening, allowing temperatures to tumble further down into the upper 20s for our overnight lows.

Sunshine returns Friday, but it’s going to be a bit chilly with highs only topping out in the upper 40s to around 50°.

We’ll try to recover some on Saturday with middle to upper 50s in store, but this will be on the heels of yet another frontal system that will bring rain for Sunday and a reinforcing shot of cold air by Monday.
