Facebook is down this afternoon, but Upper Cumberland Weather isn’t going anywhere.

Our Monday is been dry for the most part, but it does appear we’ll see a showers and possible a thunderstorm or two try to develop this afternoon and evening. Storm coverage will be limited with more areas remaining dry than not, most likely.

Mostly cloudy skies can be expected overnight and into Tuesday morning before widespread scattered showers and thunderstorms move in from the south during the afternoon and evening hours. If you have anything to get done outdoors, sometime between right now and Tuesday morning is your best bet; otherwise, it might have to wait a few days.

Scattered showers and storms will be with us throughout tomorrow night and pretty much all of our Wednesday, as it currently appears. A storm or two on Wednesday could contain gusty winds, although the threat of any severe weather is minimal, at best.

Showers should begin tapering off in coverage Thursday and especially by Friday, setting us up for a fantastic weekend with sunny skies and highs running slightly above average in the middle to upper 70s — perhaps hitting 80° in a few spots west of the Plateau.
